Port View is a 142 unit inner
city development situated on the
corner of St George's Street and
Diakonia Avenue that has
resulted from the conversion of
four buildings to affordable
rental residential units and
ground floor commercial units.
Port View is located in the
inner city area, within walking
distance of work, recreational,
health, shopping and some
educational opportunities.
Social amenities and an inner
city park form part of the
neighbourhood.
You will live close to major
transport facilities and enjoy
panoramic views of the Bay, Port
and the Indian Ocean. Right next
door is a Conference Centre and
NGO hub and across the road you
will find the Durban Music
School and Old House Museum.
Port View offers a range of
accommodation in bachelor, one
or two bedroom units.
We offer the above accommodation
subject to certain criteria,
such as subsidy qualification,
credit worthiness, willingness
to sign and abide by the lease
and house rules and
compatibility with the
community.

application for accommodation at Port
View, you will need to phone the office
for an initial screening to obtain an
application form. Documents required to
be submitted with the application form

Your application will considered
by the Provincial Housing Board
after submission by SOHCO. Once
approved you will be required to
pay an initial deposit equal to
two months of your rental and
your first month's rent prior to
occupation.
You will also be required to pay
administration fees.
Your application will be subject
to a credit check and
affordability assessment. |
