Sohco Property Investments is a non-profit distributing company
committed to the development and management of social housing in
the Buffalo City, Cape Town and Durban Metropolitan areas of
South Africa. The company’s primary purpose is the development
of quality, affordable residential property for low income
households, and in particular formerly disadvantaged members of
the community who qualify for the government housing subsidy.
This includes families with special needs such as the disabled,
young adults with a regular income and single parent families.
At all our complexes a focus has been environmentally friendly
design and accommodating people with special needs. Access to
the complexes are through gated security and parking is
available on site usually close to the units except at our Port
View complex in Durban. Security is provided 24 hours a day
although at night the gates are locked but are still accessible
if necessary. Like all our complexes, visitors are strictly
controlled and become the tenants responsibility once allowed
through the gates.
Sohco's head office is located in Brand Road, Glenwood, Durban
with regional offices located in Amalinda, East London and at
Steenberg in Cape Town. All our complexes have on site offices
and staff to deal with the complexities of running large
residential housing estates.
Applications are attended to at the local offices but interested

Sohco's web site also allows online submission of maintenance
issues, comments and complaints. This improves the overall
communication with tenants as well as allowing an accurate
record of correspondence between tenants and Sohco.
